OniPixel is an independent design and engineering studio in Corpus Christi, Texas. We started it because every local business we talked to had the same website problem: it looked fine and did nothing.
Logic first. Then design. Then code that lasts.
Most websites are built backwards. Someone picks a template, fills it with words, and hopes the phone rings. We start with the decision your visitor has to make and the evidence they need to make it. Only then do we design, and only then do we build.
The build is where we're different. Instead of stacking a page builder on a CMS on a pile of plugins, we engineer every site on OniWorks, the open-source Go framework we wrote for exactly this: server-rendered pages that load instantly, a typed TypeScript front end, PostgreSQL, realtime built in, and a single binary to deploy. It's the stack we'd want if the site were ours. For our clients, it is.
We also build products. BLKTIDE, our studio OS for tattoo artists, handles real bookings, deposits, and tax estimates for working artists every day. Running software in production keeps us honest about what "done" means on a client site.
We're small on purpose. You work with the people who design and build your site, not an account manager. And because we own every layer, when something needs to change, it changes in a day, not a sprint.
