Black Lantern is a custom tattoo studio on Kostoryz Road in Corpus Christi: ten resident artists, sixteen styles, open seven days a week. We designed the identity, from the blackletter wordmark to the lantern mark, and built the site around the one thing a visitor wants to do: pick an artist and book them. Booking runs on BLKTIDE, our own studio software, so every request, deposit, and appointment lands in one place.

OniChain — our own product · Distributed systems

OniChain is a Byzantine-fault-tolerant transfer ledger we wrote from the consensus up: Ed25519 accounts, a sharded nonce-ordered mempool, parallel signature verification, deterministic execution over bbolt, and OniBFT — two-phase prepare/commit voting with locking, proposer rotation and 2f+1 finality. The explorer and browser wallet ship inside the same binary and stream every block over a WebSocket as it is signed.

How much does a website cost?
Most sites land in the low five figures. Bigger projects with custom tools, integrations, or many locations cost more. We agree a fixed price in the first week, before any build work starts, so there are no surprise invoices.
How long does it take?
A typical marketing site takes eight weeks from kickoff to launch. Larger platforms run twelve to sixteen. You'll have a staging link in the first week of the build and see progress daily.
Do you only work with businesses in Corpus Christi?
We're based in Corpus Christi and most of our clients are across the Coastal Bend and South Texas, but the work is remote-friendly. We take on clients anywhere in the US when the fit is right.
What do you build sites with?
Our own open-source framework, written in Go. In plain terms: your site is a small, fast program we wrote by hand, not a pile of plugins. It's free and open, so any good developer can work on it if you ever want to move on.
Do we own the code?
Yes. You own the site, the design files, the content, and the source. The framework underneath is MIT-licensed. If you ever leave, you take everything with you.
Can you migrate us off WordPress, Wix, or Webflow?
Yes, and it's most of what we do. We preserve your rankings with a full redirect map, move your content, and usually make the site several times faster in the process.
What happens after launch?
Every site includes thirty days of post-launch support. After that, most clients move to a Care plan for monitoring, updates, and a monthly improvement sprint. We don't resell hosting: the site runs on your own VPS or dedicated server, and we handle the deployment.
